“parents train your children to love jehovah “.

the title says it all really, but par 6 has this piece of advice.. “jesus likened our time to “the days of noah,” and there is no doubt that we are living in “critical times hard to deal with.” (matt.

    The Watchtower—Study Edition | April 2016

17 Thousands of young Christian men and women are willingly sacrificing marriage or are not having children—at least for now—in order to serve Jehovah to the full. Older ones too may be sacrificing the time they could otherwise spend with their children and grandchildren in order to work on theocratic construction projects or to attend the School for Kingdom Evangelizers and to serve in areas where the need for Kingdom publishers is greater. Others set aside personal matters to share in service campaigns during the Memorial season. Such wholehearted service brings deep joy to Jehovah, who will never forget their work and the love shown for him. (Read Hebrews 6:10-12.) Would it be possible for you to make additional sacrifices to serve Jehovah more fully?

Here is the perfect world for the WTBTS:

a picture so embarrassing, even wtbts inc does not want to describe it?

this week's study, no 52, march 1 2020 wt dec 1919. picture description (on page 27) for pages 23 and 26 but not for the one on page 24, too embarrassing?

picture it, page 24. the wt lady, with a head volume ~8 times that of the gentlemen sitting behind her, eager to have her voice boom in the kingdom hall, raising arms with 3 other "sisters", whereas all 4 males are abstaining.

    8. What challenges did you face with your mate, and what did your loving husband do?

Watchtower Conductor: Sister '' I married at 16 because of raging hormones and couldn't wait to leave home'' Smith

Sister Smith...'' There were many times I had suspicions that my husband was a little too feminine. One day I came early from work and found my husband lounging on the couch wearing my panties and bra. We both wept! With family studies and many tearful prayers, Jehovah has made our marriage more meaningful. It says in PROVERBS 31: 10

A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.''

with the most recent investigative news report show entitled "the witnesses" i noticed a number of posters whose family members are pimi refer to such shows as "apostate lies.

" even the governing body (possibly loesch) made such a statement (possibly on jw broadcasting).

i was thinking of how to reply to such a statement.. first, ask "who is the apostate?

the big one in our hall was no frontal hugs!

I think I'm the only member who has ever been counseled on this ''unwritten rule.'' This photo shows your typical congregation meeting. Everyone carries a briefcase/field service bag. Not me! I never carried a briefcase because I felt like a nerd. For 30 years I carried only a Bible, songbook and only reading material that were needed for that meeting.

( Most members carried briefcases that felt like they carried bricks inside )

One day after the Ministry School, two Elders approached me and wanted to know why I carried all my reading material in my hands. ''WE NOTICE YOU DON'T YOU HAVE A BRIEFCASE?'', said one Elder. '' YOU NEED TO HAVE ONE IF YOU WANT TO REPRESENT THE ORGANIZATION'', said the other Elder.

I had my wife buy the cheapest briefcase as possible. To me they stepped in ''unwritten congregational rules.''

Why do Americans have to pay so much for College???

    by RubaDub in

i know there is a huge college/university lobby here in the us that lives off of students paying, in some cases, enormous amounts of money just to attend.. putting politics aside, if that is possible, (and i am not a bernie sanders guy by any means), but how can we pay for pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, elementary school, junior high, high school, and then throw a huge debt to someone who wants to continue learning?

can't the us (public and state universities) afford four more years for young people to get on a career path without having to, in some cases, take out a mortgage/loan more than the cost of some homes?

then, (and nothing against immigrants, i am married to one), but then the us has to "import" students from other countries to fill the needs that we should be supplying here.

So if having a degree was valuable, why not make everyone have one!

Exactly! Some fields required a degree, so Human Resources decided that they wanted to hire only employees with degrees.

of course as often happens, the goals change - now the target is for everyone to have a degree, any degree, not one that necessarily means something like they did before.

Exactly true! My daughter is in Human Resources and tells me that she is told to shred applicants resumes with no college degrees.

So a whole industry springs up to pump and resumes that show up degrees on people. Some look at the value of the specific degrees themselves and the potential future employment that they may help with, others just say "yay, degree in painting my nails!" or whatever useless crap it is.

Yes! Colleges become factories. Their only business is pumping out degrees. The more degrees you pump out, the more money the college makes. The whole school wins. Raises for all staff.

Lots of debt. Lots of "educators" (ha) getting well paid because of the debt that feeds it, but no real improvement in education - if anything people are dumber and less informed than ever before.

Colleges do teach, but what you get out of it or how competent you will be, does not matter to them. Get them in class and pump them out for new students tomorrow! You're in Debt? Too bad!

Degrees are often no measure of competence depending on the field, they may even become a measure of stupidity - how can they not? You spent how much on that? Sorry, we're not hiring stupid.

Yes! A degree is a just a piece of paper that shows you passed required classes. Colleges don't measure students on how competent they will be in their fields. Unless you came out as a Lawyer, Doctor, Engineer or some specialized field, you will be no more competent in your field as someone else. It just shows that you completed studies!
